Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation (KKSF) Washington, D.C. Chapter is a registered non-profit organization with a registered address of 12850 Rose Grove Drive, Oak Hill, VA 20171. It’s not-for-profit-organization status is recognized by IRS section 501(c) with a Federal Tax ID 11-302-1017; all donations made are tax deductible under applicable IRS rules.

Beginnings

Chapter Mission:

  • Promote religious and charitable activities in the USA in support of Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism and Veda Rakshanam under the auspices of the Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham
  • Raise funds and channel them efficiently to specific charitable causes in USA and India We are working to build a Kanchi Padhuka Mantapam to further Sri Matam activities in the D.C. area.
  • Religious activities – some examples:
    • A Padhuka Pooja is held at devotees’ homes on a monthly basis.
    • Important functions like Sri Kamakshi Kalyanam, Jayanthis and Aradhanas of Acharyas are observed in a grand manner.
  • Organize and or provide essential support to several Maharudrams, SadasChandi Homams, Skanda Sashti Festival and Chandi Homams.
  • Champion projects like the ManiMantapam project at Orirukkai near Kanchipuram, T.N., where a grand Temple for MahaPeriyava has been constructed.
  • Fund raising activities for charitable causes – some examples:
    • Provide food for the homeless at the D.C. Central Kitchen on an annual basis.
    • Provision of medical care for the poor through the Hindu Mission Hospitals all over India and the Sankara Nethralaya Eye centers.
  • Furthering rural educational activities at institutions like Kanchi University in Kancheepuram, TN; traditional schools in India like the Sri Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir
  • Preservation of historic Hindu temples and Veda Patasalas
  • Fund raising to benefit victims of cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis All are welcome to join our monthly satsang or any of our religious and charitable activities.
